Mo-mo-mo-MOAB!!!

May I simply say Moab is such a wonderful place. My vacation weekend was eventful and like my favorite roller coaster rides it had a lot of ups, downs and was over far too quickly!

I was able to meet several new people from my old ward as well as from two other wards while rafting, hiking, mountain biking, jumping off waterfalls, etc. It was such a wonderful experience and it reinforced my belief in making sure during a vacation that people should really go places and keep away from their phones and computers. It was perfect! The people made the trip worth it including those I came to Moab with: Landon, Melissa, Cindy and Dallon.

My favorite activity was definitely mountain biking--real mountain biking. I have only had experience on dirt trails through wooden areas before. In Moab its far more rocky and I'm so glad I was able to ride a full suspension bike. I'm not hard core but I did have a lot of fun. I don't have any pictures from mountain biking because I was too scared to bring my camera with me...I was afraid if I fell it would break which was good thinking because I did more than once. But when we went on the practice trail at Slick Rock Dallon too a few pictures which I hope to add if/when he posts them.

Here are a few of the my favorite pictures from the trip:

(Okay so the formatting needs some work but I need to do my homework.)

PS the picture of my legs (which doesn't do the bruising justice) is a picture of what happens when you don't get enough momentum going uphill and then crashing into a large spiky bush-tree on a mountain bike as well as some other incidents. Overall, it looks much worse than it feels until I try and clean it or shave my legs...I didn't do a very good job shaving--I kind of gave up which was also awkward this afternoon when a guy from the ward came over and noticed. He then decided to do a razor check and felt my leg and said "Oh, yeah I wouldn't shave either." AWKWARD!!! HAHAHA Not that I'm a wooly beast but seriously!??! Why can't most guys come in the non-creepy variety?
